Navarrete SA the fake liquidators from Granada

Captura de pantalla 2015-05-05 a la(s) 09.55.25

A fake liquidators office is brought to our attention, by the name of Navarrete.

Strange detail on this company is that at some point they seem to have made a mess or confusion with their name and used Navarette as their company name.

The agent Lynda Garrison from Navarrete has been cold calling consumers who are in the possession of a Reclaim Ltd certificate, stating that Navarrete is the official appointed liquidator for this company.

Never mind if the Reclaim certificate was due already or even had been refused due to incorrect submitting the paperwork, as far as Navarrete concerns the consumer can claim his amount due through the liquidators.

In order to claim the consumer needs to fill in a submission form and send this over with copies of their paperwork from Reclaim.

The paperwork needs sending to navarrete@post.com although later replies have been received from navarette@post.com.

After submitting all the information, and after many emails going backwards and forwards, Navarrete informs the consumer that the claim has been settled, although cannot be paid out as an outstanding tax bill has come up. So in order for the consumer to receive their money, they will need to pay close to £2000 tax.

Navarrete even produces copies of letters and forms from the Spanish Tax office and the case is taken over by a different department, the “payment processing department”. Strangely enough, Lynda Garrison also works on this department as well.

Unfortunately for those consumers who have fallen for this scam, after paying the amounts by bank transfer, no money has been received from any claim.

Navarrete does not reply to any emails after the money has been paid.

If you have been in contact with Navarrete (Navarette) or any company with a similar story about liquidators and Reclaim certificates, then please let us know.

  1. Peter says:

Why oh why don’t the Spanish authorities clamp down on this massive amount of fraud?
There must be some law in Spain, that says this kind of fraud is totally illegal, and enforceable in the courts.
