Recently a new cold calling Fly Buy Company has been detected by the name of Travel Online World.

Travel Online World seems to have all the details of the timeshare owners they approach on their cold calls and offer them a “great” holiday package of several holiday weeks and city breaks for around the £400

Their pitch is very similar to the one used by other active Fly buy companies.

What they don’t mention on the call is the actual Terms and Conditions to be taken into account by the purchaser and which might not suit the consumer at all.

On the confirmation email they send AFTER taking the payment from the consumer by credit card, they inform that bookings can be made through email or the contact form on their website.

The website http://www.travelonlineworld.biz does actually not provide a resort directory at all, and the consumer receives with the confirmation a list with resort names, or can request a directory by post.

As a matter of fact, there isn’t much information at all on this website apart from the name Travel Online World and the contact form.

No telephone, no address, no terms and conditions, privacy statement or what is most important the company registration details….NOTHING!

You do get more details when they send the confirmation email, but do keep in mind that this is only after you paid.

Address as mentioned on their confirmation: Travel Online World

Buzon 52, Avda del Albir, Local 26, Alfaz del Pi.

Contact email info@travelonlineworld.biz and Telephone 0161 850 7209, Fax 0161 850 7210

Cold calls, payment on the phone when no detailed information has been provided over what you are purchasing and from who, and a website that doesn’t give you more than a name only, we certainly think that consumers should be careful when speaking to this company.

If you have been contacted by Travel online World from 01618507209 in Spain, then please let us know.

I was contacted today saying that in 2010 I had signed up to a timeshare, that they had taken £399 in 2013 and were about to take a similar sum today. I wanted this stopped and was told that the only way to do this was to pay immediately £99 for administration costs. Caller became angry when I refused and said I would check with my bank. She said that the bank could not do anything and the £399 payment was going through as soon as I put the phone down. My bank said that no payment in 2013 had been made and there was nothing in the processing system today. She also said they were based in Manchester.

I received a call a few years back offering this and that for a one off payment. I tried to get a refund as I have children and that I needed school holidays. They said that there is only a few on selected dates so not guaranteed. No refund. Before I knew it a year had past and I had yet another phone call to say I needed to pay my outstanding £99 or £397 next month. I told them I owe nobody money and they said I signed a contract 3 years ago. They suggested I use up my holidays giving four weeks notice for non school holidays and eight weeks for school holidays. I went on the website as had no brochure as promised was delivered. There is no way of contacting them on there and nothing matches to where the company is from. I read all the above comments and now I am worried as I paid ‘the outstanding payment’ as I felt so pressured as they threated with the £397 if I don’t agree to pay.

My mum got a call in Jan 2016 from a company she bought a bed from in Benidorm saying she won a holiday and if she paid £99 she could pick a holiday from travel online world. My sister was’nt happy about this and made her go to her bank. They cancelled her card and reissued a new one. It was the same Scottish girl that worked in the shop in Benidorm that made the call.

  5. Carol says:

I was contacted by this company about 2 weeks ago paid £99 for 2 weeks for 6 people and return air fares for 6 people on European break , became suspicious and contacted my credit card company who are investigating for me to get money back

  6. Valerie says:

I was contacted on 11th February .They had all my previous timeshare details and had answers to all my questions. Unfortunately, I said yes, and was relieved of £99. I have tried to phone the 0161 number but all I am getting is an answering machine. The paperwork I received was minimal. Today, their website says it is about to be improved and has no further information on it at all.

I’ve just discovered Mindtimeshare after I googled a company called Travel Online World. My partner received a call from them. They claimed we had two weeks holiday to use with them even though we never heard of them before. So they said we can have one or two weeks in any of there resorts for up to six people & a city break for two all for an unbelievable £99 !!! My partner was all for paying them but she is unwell with Bipolar at the moment so even though I tried to persuade her not to – she gave them her credit card details. We have received some limited paperwork including so called receipts but it looks suspicious to me. We have asked advice at our bank but they said we would need proof of our suspicions before they could help us.

  9. Susan says:

They recently contacted me AGAIN! I’ve never received anything in writing, w mail from them just LOADS of cold calls!!

  10. David says:

Got a phone on 27th January 2016 from this company Travel online world, offering a weeks holiday for two people in a 4* hotel and vouchers for two for air fair. All this for £99 my wife used her debit card to pay for this. I have been in touch with our bank we were told by the Fraud department this is a SC**, they are looking into this complaint for to get the monie back

I have just received a letter from Miranda Whittaker today Friday 4th March saying that we will be unable to cancel this purchase and have our £99 returned. This threatening letter explains this so called week we have purchased, are not in fact covered by a cooling-off period or cancellation policy as explained in The Consumer Contracts ( Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges ) Regulations 2013, full detail of which can be viewed at the UK’s governmental website http://www.legislation.gov.uk. We have not signed any contract, not purchased a weeks accommodation, or agreed any dates or hotels, full stop thank you.

  11. Dave says:

Got a call today and tracked the number here. They were slow at giving me the “Manchester” number. Will not respond to them now.

  12. Christine says:

My relative has been contacted today 25.1 16 offering a weeks holiday for two people. They have taken her bank card details. Should she have anything to be worried about.

  13. Jane says:

I have been caught out with this Company. After being pressured into parting witth nearly £200 following numerous cold calls. Only after parting with my money, did they tell me the Company was based in spain, even though they were using a UK telephone number. Since purchasing, I have been unable to book anything as the tems and conditions that were not available prior to the money being taken, made many of my choices, especially those in the UK una ailable to me. I have been trying to get a refund for the past few months to no avail. The Customer Services Manageress – Miranda Whittaker has constantly refused my requests and will not pass my e-mails of complaint on to her line manager or head of establishment.
