A new cold caller has been brought to our attention by a Russian Timeshare owner. The company name this cold caller uses is Transatlantica SA and they claim to be based in Barcelona.
As with many other bogus resale companies, Transatlantica claims to have numerous buyers lined up to purchase the different memberships, and they have one as well for the timeshare owner they are calling.
The buyer is also willing to pay a good sum of money, and a deposit to secure the sale has already been received by the notary.
All that is missing now is the agreement of the timeshare owner to sell and a notary fee, which has to be paid upfront.
As they quote a resale price of over €20.000 the notary fee adds up to around 2500€
Contact details for Transatlantica SA are telephone +34 672 537 498 and Fax +34 672 537 499 and their email address is transatlantica@europe.com
On their paperwork they actually display a website which belongs to a South American travel agency which has nothing to do with timeshare resale’s not has any connections or offices in Spain.
Research has shown that there is no such company in Spain by the name of Transátlantica SA.
Resale companies who cold call, claim to have buyers lined up and ask for an upfront fee for whatever reason are not to be trusted!
Do never provide such companies with your credit card details or any other personal details.
If you have been contacted by the agent from Transatlantica SA with number 0034 672537498 then please do let us know.
