It’s been quiet some time around SPS Property and Consultants, since we last posted a blog about them in September 2014 (http://wp.me/p1kmoi-1na )
But that seems all changed now as this week we are receiving numerous inquiries and complaints about the fact they are cold calling timeshare owners.
The agent from SPS comes up with a story about being asked to contact the Timeshare owner because they have been mis-sold by their timeshare company.
She makes it appear that the “Timeshare Council” has appointed SPS Property & Consultants to inform the timeshare owners about the fact they have been defrauded.
Questions about how SPS obtained the timeshare owners personal details and membership details are replied to as well, that these all came from the timeshare council.
This is obviously not true, and certainly is there no such thing as a timeshare council who would share personal details of timeshare users, without their previous authorisation to do so!
It is worrying though to see that SPS holds all the details of the consumer and their timeshare, and even is able to explain what happened at their presentation.
The calls come from 0115 824 0566.
Those consumers who decide to go along with SPS Property & Consultants are proposed a home visit consultation where a disposal of the timeshare will be discussed.
This meeting is completely free of charge they claim although if they are able to offer the timeshare owner a service then an upfront payment will become due to retain their services.
Approaching people on a cold call is rather dubious, as they never seem to be able to explain properly where the private data came from. Then telling people they have been mis sold or defrauded by their timeshare company and all this to get them to agree on a home visit where they will end up being asked for an upfront fee for their services…
We just don’t see it!
So please be careful and think twice before paying anything upfront.

I would be very wary of SPS as a company! We got bombarded with cold calls from them for weeks regarding compensation for our timeshare weeks, so we decided to look them up on the internet.
They sounded very convincing on the phone, but when we looked into the company further we saw that they have been known as and directly linked to 2 other SPS companies in the past few years that have both been struck off!! The current version of SPS has been around since 2016.
Why were they other companies struck off???? I asked this question on the next call we had with them and they didn’t provide a very solid answer!
I also asked if I could come and speak with them directly at their offices in Nottingham as I only live in Derby, but they said they don’t do office appointments, only home visits…which I thought was a bit strange!
I decided I would go and see them at their Nottingham office address and was told that no one was there that could see me. I find this very odd!! Surely someone could come and see me and take my name and get someone to call me????
HAS ANYBODY EVER SEEN THEM AT THEIR OFFICE OR COULD THIS BE ANOTHER SC** COMPANY!!
Also received a call and we are also TPS registered – didnt answer and did 1471. Just putting this up there so people can see they are active.
Had a call today from SPS at 01158240566 with the same details as above, details from Timeshare Council etc. Didn’t get sucked in, but others could and this form of attempted trading and cold calling should be stopped.
I have just had a call from this number but they rang off before I answered. I am concerned as our landline is registered with Telephone Preference Society! However any company phoning us get short shrift – we tell them straight that they should not be using our number & to take it off their list.
