Did you receive a cold call from Carlos Estevez a legal office from Madrid?

There is yet again a cold caller pretending to be a “Legal” office and this time they use the name of Carlos Estevez.

For the moment they are targeting mainly Dutch speaking Timeshare owners.

The agent calling from Carlos Estevez claims they have offices both in Madrid (Spain) and Faro (Portugal) and that they are appointed to handle a liquidation of Cash back Europe.

The agent explains that through the court in Spain, money has been awarded to the victims of certain Cashback companies, and substantial amounts have been set aside to pay out to these victims. They are looking at amounts around 30.000 euros.

In order to claim this money, the consumer will have to pay a 10% court fee and administration costs.

These costs are to be paid by bank transfer.

In order to back up this story they provide copies of paperwork, which supposedly comes from the Spanish court and a translation in Dutch.

Research shows that there are no such legal offices in Spain or Portugal by the name of Carlos Estevez.

The above company does NOT exist and we certainly do not recommend paying them any money!
