Pana travel Online, a dubious resale company based in Madrid

Cold caller Pana Travel Online claims to be a resale company for timeshare memberships and is targeting mainly Nordic timeshare owners.

Their cold calls are very convincing, and they seem to have a professional attitude towards the business of timeshare resale.

The agent from Pana travel Online creates a sense of trust and re-assures the timeshare consumer that everything will be done as per the rules and laws.

Once the Timeshare owner has shown his interest in selling his membership, he receives an email from Pana Travel Online with the resale offer and a kind of pre-contract to agree on the sale.

In this contract it is explained that the buyer of the membership already paid a deposit and it is also expected from the actual seller that a payment will be done for administration costs and as a security the seller won’t pull out of the sale.

An amount of around the 3000 euros is requested, but the timeshare owner is assured that this money will be refunded once the sale has been processed.

In order to pay this amount the owner needs to do a bank transfer into a Spanish bank account under the name of an apparent English individual.

Not only the cold call seems to be a sign that this company might not be trustworthy, but it is also the payment upfront, which is illegal, and the supposed sales price, which seems rather high compared to all other resale companies.

Research has shown that there is no such company as Pana Online Travel at the given address in Madrid; Calle General Castaños 4, 28004

Their email address is panatravelagency@mail.com which is not linked to the actual website they mention on their paperwork www.pana.com which is a website of a travel search engine and has nothing to do with timeshare resale’s or companies based in Spain.

To top it all of, they use a Spanish mobile phone for contact +34 604 289 515

Seen the above information we can certainly NOT recommend this company and would insist that no money should be paid to this company for the supposed resale of a timeshare.

Wished we saw this website before we handed over €5000. DO NOT DEAL WITH MARCOS SANCHEZ OF PANA TRAVEL. We were given forms and letters from Pana Travel; a Spainish Bank and solicitors. All now not contactable after giving over the final monies which was for so called capital gains tax.
We were sucked in, it all sounded just what we wanted,as we have a Lion Resort membership that we want to get rid of. Therefore not paying further maintenance fees.
We feel very stupid to be taken in so easily.
Does anybody know if we can involve the police?

Has anyone had dealings with Praetorian Legal and are they part of monster rewards?
