Thornbridge Associates is a new cold caller, who has been active for some weeks and seems to be targeting a certain group of consumers who all have been dealing already with another “claims” company in the past.
Thornbridge Associates contacts these consumers to say that the company they dealt with, WTC Admin or Willard Thomas claims has given them the consumers information to finalize the claim they supposedly started.
The agent from Thornbridge associates; John Scott calls from 0203 807 1396 and states his office is based at 60 Water Lane. 3 Court hill House Wilmslow SK9 5AT.
He claims they can get the consumer his money back from the credit card companies in 12 to 16 weeks. But to get this processed the consumer needs to pay £750 upfront to start the ball rolling
Other consumers have been told that they can get compensation related to the Cashback scheme operated by for example Club Class.
Thornbridge Associates has allegedly found the consumer is entitled to over £35,000, which they can get for the consumer in 12-16 weeks, but they require £2200 to proceed. “Of course” the upfront fees are all refundable and will be included in the final pay out from the bank…
Many consumers who dealt with WTC admin in the past and paid them a fee to get a consumer act claim done, have been left with no claim and no refund of the fees paid.
Not surprising as in many cases people were offered a claim when actually they did not reunite the requirements for a claim, which is having paid by credit card and less than 6 years ago.
It seems rather worrying that a company such as Thornbridge Associates contacts these same consumers now, pretends everything is still running and about to be paid out and yet again ask for an upfront payment.
