A dubious cold caller is active in the past weeks under the name of Reclaim Assistance.
It seems to be yet another case of a dubious set up using the name of a genuine UK Companies House registered company, but in reality they have NOTHING to do with the registered company.
They copy the address, quote their registration number, and even copy the logo on the paperwork.
This all for the sole purpose of misleading and confusing the consumer.
The agent from the supposed “legal department” of Reclaim Assistance cold calls the consumer and comes up with a fantastic story of money recovered through the court on behalf of the consumer.
In order to proof this awarded money Reclaim Assistance send official looking documents from the Spanish courts. On these documents it mentions that Reclaim Assistance on behalf of the consumer (with full name) has been awarded an amount of money, which will be paid out to the consumer.
Strange of course that Reclaim Assistance seems to have been working on the consumer’s case for over a year without the consumer even knowing!

Although they pretend to be in the UK when emailing them the automated reply is in Spanish.
And to retrieve the awarded money from the courts, the consumer is asked to pay legal / admin fees through a “European Central Bank” which turns out to be a bank branch of a spanish bank on the Costa del Sol…
Please be careful with companies such as this fake Reclaim Assistance calling you out of the blue with fantastic stories of recovered money on your behalf through Spanish courts.
Unfortunately all these calls end up being fake and those who pay the “fees” to get their compensation are left behind without the money.

First let me thank you for all the help that you gave us. With your excellent advice and assistance from the Fraud Department in our Bank we have now been fully refunded all of the the money that they took from us.
Now we are being contacted by other similar companies, the latest being a company calling themselves ‘Wilson and Perez’, Litigation Lawyers of London. They say that they are “PCP Negotiators” and that they are holding money owed to us by a court case that we supposedly won in Madrid for some £10,000??? The information given is: Address: ‘Chancery House’, 53 to 64 Chancery Lane, London, WC2 A1QN (there does appear to be a legal company at this address?)

Two names Stacey Cole – an appointment organiser telephone number 020 3883 4549, and Diane Lord a negotiator who is due to ring us back, so we will see what else we can find out about this company. But we are very aware that they will probably shortly be asking for money for legal fees, and that the supposed ‘court case’ is yet another scam!
