Please be careful with any cold caller.

Most of the callers are nicely sounding individuals who have a great sense of convincing the consumer into paying for something they don’t want or even know what it is, or invite you to meetings to discuss issues that sound too good to be true from the start.

Always do your research and just drop us a mail with the details of the company that called you and what they offered, so we can send you more information as well.

l had been approached by Luxury Leisure Group who are also Island Breaks. my husband and I met with them in Tenerife to discuss relinquishing our CLC timeshare in Tenerife. they were very convincing saying that because the courts have already ruled that miss selling is against the law we could be sure of a successful outcome. initially we were told that there would be no up-front fees but on signing the documents we were asked to pay £ 1000.00 up front and as it progressed we were told that we would have to take out a loan of £8,000 for which we would have to pay in advance on the 10th of June which would be before the actual claim would go through . on returning home to England and in the cool light of day we started to feel that this maybe a scam and that we did not wish to take this any further. we paid the £1000.00 half with Visa Debit card and the other amount with our Mastercard credit card.

they say they have had successful claims and we need to know if this is true. what actual cost is involved when taking a claim to a Spanish court? they are asking us to take out an £8,000 loan in order to pay them 20% of the claim up front( £7,314.60) on the 10th of June they say that they will be claiming £36,573.00 from CLC and Shawbrooks loan company.
