A new strange cold calling lawyer has been brought to our attention, using the name of Berlanga Contreras.
For the moment this lawyer’s office, supposedly based in Madrid seems to be targeting only Dutch / Flemish speaking timeshare owners, but this could be extended to other languages.
The person calling on behalf of Berlanga Contreras is using the name of Jeroen Bosch.
He explains to the Timeshare consumers that the lawyer’s office Berlanga Contreras has been filing claims against timeshare resorts on a monthly basis, and they are winning them all! How successful can you be?
If the timeshare consumer wants to join such claim all he needs to do is fill in an authorization form and they are in.
The website of this Berlanga Contreras http://berlangacontreras.com was registered in March this year, and surprisingly only available in English.
A person is presented on the website as being “Berlanga Contreras” which are actually 2 surnames and the first name is completely missing in the text.

There is no lawyer’s office or lawyer in Spain by the name of Berlanga Contreras.
There is no such office, putting claims into the courts each month!
The only thing you can expect from this Berlanga Contreras is a request for money after you sign the authorization form and they won’t stop asking possibly until you realise it is a fraud.
Please do not send any signed paperwork to a cold calling “lawyer” and do not provide any further personal details as you don’t know where these might end up.

I have a client who has also been cold called by Platt & Williams – I cannot seem to find them through a quick google search. The person who called was Christine Young and it sounds highly suspect.
There is a request for circa £2,000 before funds of supposedly £22,000 are released but I will be asking for all the details in writing first and even then also certainly not dealing any further
From my clients experience (bad experiences) ANYONE who just calls you out of the blue and asks for money first is likely to be a sca**er
