For some reason the cold calls of employees pretending to be working at the High Court, the Tribunal Superior de Justicia or Agencia Tributaria seem to be the latest most popular scam on cold calls.

The more official it sounds, the more incredible their stories seem to be. But backed up with all kind of fake documents, the consumers are convinced they are indeed speaking to the official entity in Spain.

Consumers called out of the blue are notified over the telephone that their case has been heard in the Spanish court and a substantial amount of money has been awarded.

One of these callers is Adam Townsend from the Agencia Tributaria (tax office) using a Spanish mobile 0034602648938

All court fees are paid, and the Consumer will receive the money directly through the bank in Spain, but….

Oh yes, there is a small “but”, the Consumer will have to pay the services of the solicitors, which are Bauer & Bauer in Malaga.

This is a fee of around 1500 Euros.

Please note that all this is a FRAUD!

There are no court claims with money awarded without you even knowing you were included in such claim, the Tax office or Courts do not communicate through unexpected calls on Spanish mobiles and neither does one have to pay money into the accounts of individuals!
