A very strange cold caller has popped up this week using the name of General Legal Associates.

They call about a court case against fraudulent companies the consumers have dealt with in the past.
As it seems the Court case has already taken place, and the Consumer is about to receive £17,750 compensation.

But first the consumer needs to send £4250 to an account at the APS BANK in the name of Universal Consulting before the Spanish Court will release the money.

Once the Consumer pays the money, an agent (NOT a courier) will come around the consumer’s house with papers in Spanish for them to sign. This agent will carry a cheque and a copy of the paperwork in English so they can explain to the Consumer what it is all about.

The agents on the phone are using the names of Lisa Reid and Emma Newton.

We could not find an entry at Companies House for this company name.

There is a website which was set up in September last year: www.generallegalassociates.com which has testimonials from happy consumers going back to March 2017, so that is 6 months before the web was set up.

Please note that the entire story from General legal Associates sounds far too dubious to be true!

There has been no Court claims in Spain where they award money to consumers who don’t even know they were included in the case. And a Spanish Court does charge money in Pounds into a bank account in the name of a third party company and outside Spain.
