Cold calls and offering legal services do not really add up but this does not seem to stop fraudsters from keeping on trying and contacting innocent consumers over and over again.
The latest one is using the name Gonzalez F y Asociados, supposedly based in Madrid and mainly contacting Dutch speaking timeshare consumers.
The way of working, the story they tell about this court claim they have already going against the consumers’ resort and the documents the consumer needs to sign, all look very familiar.
Gonzalez F y Asociados have gone through the trouble of setting up a website https://gonzalezfasociados.com which was actually registered at the beginning of January 2019.
This website is only available in English which seems a bit of odd for a Spanish Lawyers office based in Madrid.
There is no Companies House registration; although they do display a lawyer’s registration number, which we have, no doubt is from a lawyer with a same surname but who hasn’t got a clue he is on this web.
There is no privacy statement and no data protection clause, which are obligated by law.

After the initial call the consumers receives an email where they are explained that the claim is already won and in order to get the money awarded they will need to pay a legal fee of 9,2% over the awarded amount.
But not to worry the money will be placed in an escrow account…yeah right.
Please note that this is all a FAKE set up.
