A new cold caller was detected recently by the name of Luxury Linx.
Luxury Linx initially presents themselves as a so-called fly-buy company who discounted accommodation week’s stays and where the consumer needs to attend a presentation (sales meeting).
The agent seems to have though a lot of information about the consumer, their timeshare membership details, etc.
When asking them where they obtained this information from, the answer is “from the timeshare Register“.
This seems very strange seen the current legislation on Data Protection, and nobody has heard of this register.
The Luxurylinx agent goes further with explaining that they are acting as an agent for a Consortium of Legal Advisers in Tenerife.
When visiting the website www.luxurylinx.info indeed it mentions that the registered Company name is: Meridian Litigation Advisors SL
This company was set up in December 2018
Consumers are offered a 2-7 nights free 4 star accommodations in Tenerife or Mallorca to have a free consultation with the legal people there.
The agent insists that claims against the consumer’s resort are currently handled by their legal company. The agent urges the consumer travel to their offices the soonest possible and discussing this claim as in about 18 months time the resort will go bankrupt.
The contact details for Luxury Linx are Telephone: +441618841639
Email: info@luxury-linx.com
Address: Calle La Isa 49, San Miguel de Abona, 38639 S C Tenerife, España
As always we recommend caution with cold callers.
Statements that resorts are going to go “bust” in about 18 months time are to be taken with caution as well.
Companies you have not asked for information and call you out of the blue are not complying with the law on data protection.
Legal companies do not cold call.
If Luxury Linx has offered you a discounted or free stay in Tenerife or Mallorca, we would like to have your feedback.
Miss M, How did you get on with Meridian Litigation Advisors? Ive had a Zoom meeting with them and I am convinced that it is a sc**?
Can anyone comment on Meridian Litigation in Tenerife, or Claims Solution Group in Scotland? The first want £7K to buy out our timeshare contracts which we thought were dead 15 years ago, an the 2nd will then reclaim our initial outlay.
hi Keith, how did it go? we have had a similar call!
I have just had exactly the same conversation with Meridian, They claim to be a legal firm but the sales process is exactly the same as a timeshare sales pitch. The meeting was conducted on Zoom due to Covid. I got an email out of the blue saying I could get my money back from a “Holiday Club” called luxury Leisure. He took up 2 hours of my time before insisting that I part with £7k today or I would miss out. He then within 25 seconds of me saying “NO” reduced it by half and then offered to do it for free as long as I gave them any entitlement I had to my timeshare!!! I have bought into some holiday packages in the past that I wish I hadn’t but I am happy with my current CLC Holiday scheme.
Hello kieth my name is liam . I was offered the same terms today . Meridian wanted £1,400. To pay solicitors fee. To get the ball rolling. They also mentioned £7,000. To get out of the contract. I lost the timeshare in 1999. I couldn’t pay the maintenance fees . And I received a letter from the timeshare saying . I would lose my ownership of my timeshare.
Thanks for sharing info. Keep up the good work.We hope you will visit our blog luxury linx and the free holiday in tenerife or mallorca to discuss a claim often as we discuss topics of interest to you.I like your post and I am happy to share this post to my friends.
I am going in December.
We had a call from the Timeshare Council who were asking if we were ‘happy’ with our timeshare (we are). Then a couple of hours later, we get a call from Luxury Linx asking if we would like to go to Tenerife or Majorca to discuss being mis-sold our timeshare with their solicitors. We get lots of calls like this, so asked them to put it in an email but usually they don’t follow up and send anything. this time they have! We’re not planning to go, all feels very fishy. Good luck if you do go!
we are going in november
are you going with Luxury linx
yes we are
Russell can you tell me how your trip went to Tenerife in November to get your money back from your Timeshare? We bought a timeshare a couple of years ago and are waiting for a representative of Meridian Litigation Advisors to skype us later this week, who are operating with Luxury Linx. What was your impression of Luxury Linx and whether they are truly above board? Did you have to pay any money up front?
Did you get a reply from Russell? did you go in December? If so can I have feedback please as I am due to go next week but can still pull out as I really need a break not more headache or stress!!
