Are you taking up the offer from GC Resorts or Gran Canaria Resorts?

In July this year we placed a warning on our blog regarding Gran Canaria Resorts and their telephone calls for a holiday offer to timeshare owners, read more: http://wp.me/p1kmoi-4U

Ever since we placed this warning we have received numerous messages from concerned timeshare owners about these phone calls, and the apparent nice offer from GC Resorts for additional holiday weeks.

Most concerning is the fact that GC Resorts states in their telephone call that they have connections with RCI and other reputable timeshare companies. This is not correct and we know for a fact that the companies mentioned in these calls have requested GC Resorts to cease with this pitch and leave them out.

The holiday offer the consumers receive is an extra week in one of 14 Resorts for the price of £295 payable straight away over the phone by credit card. Consumers who feel a bit overwhelmed or ask for some time to think about this are informed the offer only stands for that same day and the day after it would be £445! Those willing to decide and pay (!) in directly are even offered a 2 x 1.

Although they like to do name dropping when it concerns RCI or other reputable timeshare companies, when they have the client’s attention and need to explain about the presentation they will have to take on their holidays, all of the sudden it has nothing to do with timeshare anymore and the presentation supposedly will be about excursions and other activities at the resort.

Although most timeshare consumers are more than aware of what happens at a presentation during these bonus holidays and most of them have no problem with going through this for the sake of getting the holiday at a reduced rate, the knowledge that behind all this is Eugene Kaiser, the same person behind Voyager and ReclaimGC http://t.co/nW592Vv it gives a lot to think about before actually booking a holiday with Gran Canaria Resorts.

Have you visited a resort through a booking of Gran Canaria Resorts? Please let us know!
