EFTAG threatens taking Mindtimeshare to court …

Dear Timeshare Owners and Consumers affected,

This article is not only directed to you but also in a way to the authorities in Spain and Britain.

We are forced to publish this information as we have received various emails from EFTAGEuropean Fair Trade Advisory Group with threats to demand us in court for supposed defamatory information on our blog.

The information we give in our blog, the things we tell or say are not a product of our imagination. This information has been given to us by Timeshare Consumers who have contacted us after dealing with the companies mentioned and expressing their concern of what they have been told.

Our further investigations have brought to light some very interesting information which shows that there are links and possible interests with other dubious companies.

As per the Spanish Companies House (Registro Mercantil Español) the company called EFTAG-European Fair Advisory Group SL- with fiscal registration number: B-93130672, and address  C/ Inca 7, de Fuengirola, was registered as such on the 30/05/2011.

The sole main administrator of this company is Mr. Andrew Charles COOPER, who was appointed on the 09/06/2011.

Mr. Cooper is also one of the directors of the Club Class Group and very well known in the British press!  Andrew Cooper is also officially in charge of other Spanish companies that have been mentioned on this blog before:

Since 17/06/2008, he has the Power of Attorney of the company called ETOO SL and for those who don’t know already, ETOO is known because of their unethical practices regarding their supposed resale program.

http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigations/2009/06/peter-utal-and-etoo-switch-tim.html

The UK Advertising Standards Authority – ASA – declared in August 2008, that ETOO  had collected fees worth £17.5million from EU timeshare and points owners, during the previous six years, although it had only being able to achieve a 20% resale rate, despite initially informing its clients, that it had a firm resale offer for each one of them! As a result of the previous in August of 2008, UK ASA took ETOO´s ads from air in the UK.

Since 17/10/2007, Mr. Andrew Cooper also has the Power of Attorney for the company called Club Class Holidays SL. Club Class Holidays SL is a Discount Travel Club which in most cases promise the consumer who joins that they will take over their existing membership. After paying thousands of Pounds to join this club, a lot of these consumers have found a year or two later that they remained being the owner of their previous membership and that the outstanding fees were adding up under their liability.

Since 16/10/2007, Mr. Andrew Cooper also holds the Power of Attorney charge in the company called Premiere Travel SA. This is the Travel Agency used by Club Class and the people who eventually book the holidays for the Club Class Members. Premiere Travel SA is based in the Calle Inca in Fuengirola, which is the same address as the one for EFTAG as these are the new headquarters for all these companies.

Between 23/01/2007 and 15/10/2007, Mr. Andrew Cooper also held the position of Power of Attorney for Club Class Concierge SL. Another Discount Travel Membership Club where again consumers paid thousands of Pounds to join and could trade in their original membership and start using the supposed discounted holidays through Club Class Concierge. Only to find out after a year or so that the original membership was still in their name and they were still liable for the fees.

EFTAG is the new “Brand” of the Club Class Group.

After reading the above and seeing the track record of these companies with complaints of hundreds of unhappy timeshare consumers and demands for refunds, it is not surprising we are now also receiving similar complaints about EFTAG.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT STOP INFORMING THE CONSUMERS!

We will continue to fight in order to avoid more consumers being badly informed!

But we do need all the help we can, from timeshare owners and consumers! We need these consumers to stand up and if they feel they were mis-represented they should group together and hit back!

Has anybody been contacted by a company called Pure Resolution yet? They claim to be a Spanish Law firm in the process of dealing with the a large group claim at the Spanish Court in Malaga. Can anyone tell me if they are genuine or not?

  2. Carol says:

Having purchased club class in October 2008, we thought we had ridden ourselves of our original timeshare. Since, we have had to pay out to our original timeshare company a further 4 figure amount to cover back maintenance and severance charges. This year we were paid out a quarter of the original cashback figure, we had expected. We were really taken to the cleaners. We must have had suckers stamped on our foreheads. Approx £7,500.

  3. Gary says:

As I said earlier I had a cold call from EFTAG and I had arranged to go to the Holiday Inn at Doncaster today (wont be going now) I did ask how they had got my phone number and they said it was on a database. BUT when I said I was ex directory they could not give me an answer. I think I have the answer now, I was one of those daft muppets who paid ETOO to sell my timeshare, yes I paid £850 and got nothing for it, these companies must all be tied together. If it was not for sites like this people would be getting duped wholesale.

  4. MikeJa says:

I had a cold call from EFTAG last week, they sent me some email attachments about newspaper articles. They ask me to go to Benalmadena with paid for accommodation (I suppose I have to pay for the flights)!!! to talk about the “Class Action” I then googled EFTAG and your site came up, I thought there was something dodgy about them. I have been approached by ETOO and ITRA and several morphs in the past and when they phone back I will decline their offer. Thanks for a great site. I will keep you informed.

  5. Alan says:

I received a call from them last week and they were very annoyed when I stated that I would have nothing to do with another fraudulent company based in Spain, having been conned once (Blue Chip). At least I did get my money refunded by the Credit Card Company for that sad transaction. I presume that there must be a list of potential “victims” circulating in Spain.

  6. rena mcleod says:

club class has done us out of £6000.00 we took cash back 6years ago and had certificate sent reclaim on time and kept copy of everything that was last december never heard a thing so can mr cooper tell us where our money is

  7. aileent says:

I cant believe these people how can they say that you are making things up, when i was one of the many people that got in touch with you to see what you could find out for me, and if they want to get in touch with me tell them they can, and i will give them a piece of my mind.

  8. Andrew L says:

How can this Andrew Cooper, and other people involved in the work that they do, sleep at night with a clear concience? If what they do to others was done to them how would they like it. Perhaps they are not qualified to hold a responsible, honest job?

  9. Martin Summers says:

I feel sure I’ve read that you’ve said these people are acting illegally by ‘cold calling’. Doesn’t that ‘pull the rug from under their legs’ for starters?

  10. Paul Isbell says:

Thank You! I had been contacted only yesterday by a company called Net Time Brokers, having researched on the web, found your site and the information. It has given me hope that in trying to sell on my weeks in Cyprus that I can avoid scams and dodgy merchants (shame there are so many). Thank you for the all information and hard work. I have subscribed and will make a point of passing your information on. Don’t suppose any one knows of legitimate resale companies?

  11. Angela Fawson says:

I’ve been thinking about this. If they can PROVE they have actually had a genune buyer in every case (albeit they ALL cancelled immediately) then good luck to them! I really don’t think they have a case unless they can prove that fact, which (as it is highly unlikely) cannot be done. Too much of a co-incidence that so many hundreds (probably thousands) of people have been offered more than they expected for their timeshare when we all know how difficult they are to sell, then these ‘buyers’ all pulled out.
Good luck with this, I’m sure there are thousands of people behind you!

  12. lynne hendry says:

Cannot beleive these people they are in the wrong not you keep up the good work and good luck

  13. lynne hendry says:

I have had dealings with Club Class and been stung never got my reclaimer to get money back also visited them everytime I went to Tenerife and Man in charge there Dave Pegg always assured me I would get money did I NO and they have been closed down now. these people are rouges

  14. michael hudson says:

cannot believe this is happening all you do is good for people who are being cheated out of there life savings

  15. Carly says:

This seems ridiculous…..The only reason he is doing this is because you are affecting his pocket!! I am so glad I found this site, it’s just a shame we found it AFTER having dealings with Inmoleon (yes it does have other names), but whenever we get a cold call I always check here…then give them an ear full when and if they phone back!!

Please keep the consumer informed you do a great job.

  16. Angela Fawson says:

I simply can’t believe this – I am totally gobsmacked!
Are they seriously suggesting that you have MADE UP these posts??
Well, I’m happy to have them referred to me, truth will out (hopefuly). Please do keep on with it, you are doing a fabulous job. THANK YOU

    • Thanks Angela. I am sure that the Spanish and British Authorities will take note. Regards

      • Stephanie Symmonds says:

I have just come across your site and I think that we have been well and truly done by this company. We have just recently had paperwork sent back to us stating that Touchdown Holidays in the West Midlands has “GONE AWAY”. We have paid out nearly £6,0oo to this company and to be quite frank about I don’t know what to do. We have rang, emailed and still no joy. Could you please advise us.

        Thank you

        Stephanie Symmonds
