Canarian Legal Alliance or CLA is a legal Company registered in C/Angel Guimerá 14 – Arguineguín – Gran Canaria – Spain
This Company has a website www.canarianlegalalliance.com which was registered at the end of July 2012
On the website the main focus is for those Timeshare owners that signed their timeshare contract in Spain and had their initial happiness turned into a nightmare because the promises made were never materialized…
Canarian Legal Alliance offers to help and claims that “If you have fallen victim to the same misrepresentations then let us help you. We provide a professional and comprehensive service …”
All the above sounds of course very good and the website looks professional and complete.
Contact numbers are on display, UK: 01617684491 and 0203 588 3960 or Spanish (+34) 667 782 019, their E-mail: info@canarianlegalalliance.com and Terms and Conditions that cover the Data Protection etc.
But when Mindtimeshare researched the background of this company, we stumbled onto different information and actually worrying information!
Canarian Legal Alliance is registered at the Spanish Companies House and the administrator of the company is Paula Louise Beatson. A name not unknown to this blog as she is working for Reclaimgc together with Eugene Kaiser.
On the website and the brochure that can be downloaded, there are names of solicitors who supposedly are working together with Canarian Legal Alliance. (http://canarianlegalalliance.com/advisors.php)
Some of these names are known of their direct connection with Reclaimgc such as Thomas Unrath, Miguel Rodriguez Ceballos and Eva Gross Perez.
The fact that Thomas Unrath is actively involved with Reclaimgc and Voyager Travel / Lifestyle Holidays makes the statement on the web about helping those who have fallen victims of mis-representation look rather cynical!
“..helping hundreds of timeshare owners just like you to reclaim back their money. Our clients have suffered one misrepresentation after another.” Looks like a misplaced statement coming from those who actively are selling Voyager Travel and Lifestyle Holidays!
Are all the lawyers mentioned above and on this website aware of the nature of the business from Reclaimgc, Voyager and Lifestyle?
Are these lawyers aware that consumers are approached by the connected companies of Reclaimgc on cold calls?
How honest is it for a company to trade under the name Canarian Legal Alliance, when in reality they are one and the same people that are active under Reclaimgc, Timeshare Owners Claim and Resalegc Marketing SL?
How long can the same dubious people continue their same dubious business by continuously changing their company names, confusing consumers and pretending to be what they not are?
Should the Spanish authorities be made aware of this?
If you have been approached or received any communication from Canarian Legal Alliance or CLA, then please let us know.

We were ‘Cold Called’ by a CLA sales rep in this country. We were then asked to attend a meeting with one of their ‘assessors’ at their Warrington office. (They also have a similar office in Basingstoke) We were asked to bring along ALL relevant documentation. We went along, but before-hand we agreed ourselves we were NOT leaving any of our docs with them.
Before we had been in the office more than 1 hour, they had us filling in forms for Equity Release
on our owned home. They wanted £15,000 upfront. They also, very astutely releaved us of ALL our documents, against what we had agreed. The documents were sent to their HQ & they were expecting us to get the Equity Release for £30,000. After we got home, we sat down & had a discussion about the meeting and the expected action. (we had a cast-iron case according to them) We left things a day or two to mull things over. The summary we came up with was: Cold Called: asked to attend their meeting: quickly talked into Equity Release so we could pay them; : releaved of ALL our Docs. Wasn’t this a similar pattern that got us into TimeShare & all the bother in the first place? We immediately put everything on hold;
we insisted that ALL our docs be returned to us. Since then we have been bombarded with all their successes in the Spanish High Court. We have subsequently cancelled everything.
Saved in the nick of time from falling for their s***.
CLA have contacted us saying they can take our timeshare off our hands for a fee of £750 paying half as a deposit, which we haven’t yet done, they are going to call us again for our membership no: and the £375 deposit? They say the whole transaction will be done by email and we will just need to send our deeds to our resort, would you advise us to go through with this transaction or not?
Had another from Irene Kendrick @my favourite grandma’,She’s sorry to hear that we have no money. She wanted £450 to pay the lawyer then some admin costs all adding up to£1053 which would be refunded? on the completion of the claim. When you think about that it does not make sense. If you pay to have a job done the tradesman does not give you his wages back when he has finished.
She also said they are working with M&G Abrogados ,but I don’t know where they are.

Had an appointment with CLA. We’ve all had it..Initial call on 12th . Reckoned they could get money refunded for week ta Palm Oasis for £750,said they a lot of success with consumers at Anfi.
Apparently ‘In Perpetuity’ was illegal and success was almost a foregone conclusion. But having read the comments it prompts the question ‘Is there anyone out there we can trust?’
We have also had words with Sharma &co Another with a delightful older lady making the initial contact. I see that there is a report stating they have stopped trading
I had a call yesterday from CLA who claimed we could get all our money back that we had “ever paid” to Diamond, which seemed to include all management fees as well. – Seeing as I had just told her that we had been happy members with Diamond for 19 years this was quite an interesting and bold comment for the lady to come out with. I mentioned that I was unsure how they had got my number particularly as we were registered with the Telephone Preference Service and she did not seem concerned by this by saying “I just ring who my manager tells me to” . I was then offered an appointment with a legal team in Warrington who would asses my case. When I asked about what their fees would be the lady said that she did not know anything about the fees she just booked the appointments.
I then asked her about whether they dealt with claims against DWVC who I do have an issue with and she stated that she knew quite a bit about a lot of companies and again offered me the appointment. I told her I would think about it but really wanted to check out this site first and I’m grateful for the comments already listed on here. Thanks
Hi have been contacted via email recently by Jasmin Erhard of CLA and have been told that we have a valid claim against Anfi due to us being on floating week via points. Gave them contract details for Anfi Emerald and was due to see them whilst we are over. I thought it was too good to be true😡
Hi Steve! So you didn´t hear from CLA again? Did they charge you anything? We have a floating week at Monte Anfi, which we want to claim against Anfi, but `m not sure how we should do. I´ve also been contacted by CLA via mail.
Contacted to-day, no upfront payment but 50% of any monies recovered from Global Vacations
Hi,
Thanks for letting us know.
Surprising though no upfront payment..
regards
Customer Care
We had a meeting yesterday in regard to our weeks, told we definatley would win a claim of around £29,000.00 but need to pay £7,500.00 now for Court case proceedings and would also get our maintenance fees of around £9,000.00 back as well; advised to do this now as the first case was a few months ago and it will snowball as so successful in winning cases. So glad I have found this website.
I had arranged to go ahead with CLA, as I am trying to end my time share, with only a few years left, duo to ill health I find travel difficult. The Time Share Company do not seem receptive to my plea, but after speaking to CLA where I was assured that they could help. Today having read so many negative commence on line, they will not be getting my business.
Our claim according to CLA was €84,000, they want €15,100 upfront for legal costs and 25% of the €84,000.
NO WAY.
I was contacted by CLA yesterday. The name given was Chris and the phone number was 02035883920. He said he was calling from Gran Canaria but the number is clearly not from there. He said it was to make it cheaper for customers to contact them. Our number is ex-directory and TPS but this is ignored. The final comments from him were that I should post on this site stating that Alberto Garcia is wrong about everything and that CLA had made great gains for their clients. He added that if I did post those comments that you, Alberto, would remove the post immediately. He was not best complimentary about either Alberto or Mindtimeshare. I have reported him to Diamond and TATOC.
THANK YOU, ALBERTO,
Deborah
I have just been contacted by CLA. They sounded very plausible but as this area is such a “Can of worms” I decided to do some research. I am very grateful for the Mindtimeshare website as we were considering forking out the initial fee of £750 requested by CLA. Not a lot in comparison to some of the cases listed here, but it’s our hard earned cash that CLA apparently have no intention of working for.
I have said before they do claims and have won what looks like a very small percentage. But they charge a hell of a lot upfront no matter what they say they will. For relinquishment’s always do due diligence. Did you make the inquiry? if so check them out with calling a list of happy clients, check the business entity, where are they based, telephone them without letting them know surprise them, Check their legal entity they work for etc. If this doesn’t give you peace of mind then don’t do it simple as. If you want to take the punt then pay by credit card and don’t i repeat don’t sign any document pertaining to giving your rights not to be able to perform a section 75 should they not perform. Get a guaranteed timescale as well.
I have just been contacted by a CLA representative.
He claimed that they have success claiming refunds from timeshare companies but, I too, hAVE SEEN NOTHING FROM SUCCESSFUL CLAIMENTS TO THIS EFFECT.
A.G. 10 JANUARY 2014
We were contacted by CLA who claimed they could reclaim the money paid for our timeshare due to being missold. However on telling them we purchased it in 1988 we were told that this was outside the timescale permitted. The representative then told us he could get the timeshare company to take back our week although we would notreceive any money returned. For him to do this there would be a fee of £700 which could be paid on credit card and would be refunded if unsuccessful. He also stated that if the case went to a tribunal this would also be included in the cost. Seems too good to be true. We just want someone to have our timeshare. We have had numerous excellent holidays over the years but now its just a millstone round our necks as we no longer use it. Anyone else given their timeshare back?
yea i agree with all the above , we are owed 50 grand plus , but cant see it comeing my way , Mal
I too have been contacted by Canarian Legal Alliance;
Notwithstanding the previous posts two simple obvious questions arise-
First
Is it possible for a genuine trustworthy company of lawyers to do what CLA calim they can do?
Second
Do you know of any such legal company?
The route by which they found me, (I was not looking for anyone) also is rather odourous and hence made me very suspicious; they have also told me that the raid they experienced was inititated in suspicious circumstances and the judge apologised to them! (Presumably this will be ona public records somewhere?)
I have been contacted by various companies re handing back our timeshare. CLA being one and they are persistant !!. They now call themselves CLA-marketing.com. I have spoken to Sue and Glynis this time, Carmel McCarrigan last time. They insist on sending me confirmation of their success stories from CLC. We know for a certain fact that CLC will accept back their points without argument. CLA fees have been reduced to £500, paid by credit card. If they want to waste money by calling us, we will waste their time too.
I too have been contacted by CLA they asked for a sum of £3000 which they said was a capped price based on the agreement that we would give a statement of satisfaction when the case was concluded they would take a further 15% upon completion.
We also visited gran canaria two years ago after being contacted by a company called Reclaimg this company asked for £10,000 up front & took £900 of us on site via our visa card & suggested we put the rest on an loan arranged by them we visited spanish solicitors but decided we were not in a financial position to get into further debt in the pursue of a refund. Timeshare companies have duped us to the value of £58,000 (our retirement fund) & we are so desperate to resolve this but have come to the conclusion that there is no one out there who tells the truth! WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
I have been contacted by CLA on Thursday June 27th.I gave them little information and they are contacting me back on Monday July 1st. I wanted to check you jnformation and reply accordingly, where I will quote some of your findings.I have already told them I suspected a scam, so this should be interesting.

Hi i was contacted by paul janetta representative from canarian legal alliance who advised me that i could claim back mis -representation of my timeshare he vistied my home and spent 4 hours withme going thorugh papewrwork and obtaining feedback on what had occured over the years.
I was given details of their website and advised that if i agreed i could follow my case online and that login details would be sent to my email address, on asking my daughter to lookinto this i came across your website which has confused me about the risks which maybe involved if i progress. As of yet i have paid £ 200 costs for him to visit me at home and the costs would be knocked off the leagal fees which is similar to other cases on your blog.
I am confused about this and i cannot seem to find any information on cases they have won or feedback from customers who have been satisfied with their services as you stated would they not have put this on their website?
Could you please provide me with as much information and feedback about this company before i make any further payments.
Is there any legal legitimate firm that does help people in my situation with mis-sold timeshares.
PLEASE HELP!
Just had a visit from CLA but was not charged as they are now doing the visit for free. I was dubious about the £8000 legal fees but agreed to pay a deposit of £400.00 tomorrow. Having thought it over, and seen no proof of successful cases, I became nervous and have now blocked my credit card to stop the payment. I am not sure of the total number of staff, but was told of at least 11. A quick calculation of wages, travel to the UK from Tenerife for regular 3 week stays with car hire, hotels, and expenses, they would have to make at least 10 successful claims every month to stay in business. Thats 120 cases a year. I can’t believe that the timeshare resorts would not fight back at that loss rate. They are very wealth companies and could easily “club together” to get top barristers to fight their cases. Would CLA only take 25% of any claim, and in my case around £4000.00 if they won. Once they pass details onto a layer, they have fulfilled their obligation and even if you pay by credit card you cannot claim your money on “section 75” because they done what they said they would do. I have now cancelled my claim with them. And don’t forget, if they go to court and loose, you loose your £8000.00 legal fees and also hve to pay the court cost as well.
