Cheap Holidays Tenerife the new “partnership with Sellmytimeshare.tv

Cold caller Sellmytimeshare.tv has a new offer for the timeshare owners.

If before they offered an almost guaranteed resale to the Russian market over the phone and by paying an upfront fee, now they have entered a supposed partnership with Cheap Holidays Tenerife for a different set up.

The offer from Cheap Holidays Tenerife or www.cheap-holidays-tenerife.com is a promotional stay in Tenerife, with a 350€ Cashback and Free Resale Advice.

That sounds rather good.

However, the cold call from Sell My Timeshare and the supposed Free Resale Advice which sounds like a no obligation to anything.

Reading through the website of Cheap Holidays Tenerife it actually states in the terms and conditions that the client who travels on their promotional stay has to sit through a presentation of at least 90 minutes. So there seems to be an obligation in the end.

And what is this presentation about? Is this the Free Resale Advice or are we now looking at the other “partner” in this story like Monster Travel and their presentation of Monster Credits in order to be added to their successful resale list?

On the website www.cheap-holidays-tenerife.com there is a contact number mentioned 0845 528 0606 but to book this offer from Sell My Timeshare they use the number 01202 935012

Do your research and allow yourself a decent time to “cool off” before committing to anything.

Just been offered 1 week in an hotel in Tenerife for £264 incl flight for 2 from B’ham airport. No mention of selling our time share or of a “presentation”. Chris

We to were c—ed into going to a meeting in York, and we hope to get our £249 back which was for two nights in the Hilton, this company should be stopped before it can effect anyone else. It’s one big fat load of b—s— plus there’s the eating bill and parking fees which they forget to tell you about . Also our meeting was arranged quickly so you cannot cancel as the period to cancel is around 23 days

My wife answered an add in Mature Times from Selmytimeshare thought it was too good to be true, they offered £9600 for our two weeks time share in Villamoura, Portugal. My wife called me a pessimist and was eager to attend. We too, were asked to attend a meeting in York, staying two nights B+B at the Hilton. So I went along for the ride, I was very glad we went, it was all too obvious that they wanted to sell us points in Monster.com. We kept insisting that if they didn’t buy our timeshare we were not interested in any other deal. We left and spent a very enjoyable three days in York, found a really good restaurant one we would like to go back to. It cost me £250 two nights B+B plus the money I spent eating out and sightseeing. But it was a very enjoyable break.

I responded to a SellMyTimeshare.TV full page advert in the Daily Express on Tuesday 14 October. They said they would send a brochure. Next day I received a call from them. They wanted details of my timeshare for valuation purposes. It was explained I would have to attend a presentation at one of several locations in the UK or in Tenerife. Different costs were involved depending on the location. They then quoted an inflated value for my timeshare. When they called me back later to agree a date for the presentation, I declined following advice from TATOC. Pleased to now see from your site that I made the right decision. The Daily Express should be more careful who they do business with.

  5. Norman says:

I have been contacted by Sellmytimeshare.tv, After reading here will not get involved with them, despite glossy plausible brochure !!!

  6. Barbara says:

Back last year I was c****** out of £1500 by SellmyTimeshare to advertise my timeshare on the Russian market that doesn’t exist. I was then persuaded to fly to Tenerife where I was promised that I would be made a cash offer for it. As soon as I arrived at the meeting I was told they DO NOT purchase timeshares! They then proceeded with the hard sell for me to purchase a ridiculous amount of Monster Credits, which are completely worthless as I can get cheaper holidays on any website without the obligation. One of the managers named Simon was particularly rude to myself and my partner because we questioned the tactics and lies that were used to get us out there. Needless to say I felt completely duped, angry and upset as everything from the start was false promises and lies. The good news is that having taken a considerable amount of advice from this website and Alberto Garcia personally, I have successfully managed to claim back my £1500 from my credit card company under the section 75 of the consumer credit act for gross misrepresentation. My appreciation goes to Alberto for all the help and advice.

    • John says:

If they are offering that, ask yourself the question,Why not buy it now? It,s not going to happen and underneath you know that. You have kissed your money goodby that you paid for your timeshare, don,t waste anymore and refuse to pay your maintenance demands, they won,t do a thing but may make threats to take legal action, just ignore them.It worked for me.

  9. john says:

just been contacted by sellmytimeshare.tv with offices in York Bournmouth and Teneriffe and a very generiuos off to by my 4 weeks timeshare with a 2 day overnight stay in a 4 star hotel in bournmouth for a mere £ 99 .00…. after reading your blog i dont think i will bother ……

  10. pearl says:

They try to sell you points which you can trade in for cheap flights and accommodation, they tell you before you go to the presentation that The Russians are desperate to get into the European market where in fact they put your timeshare into a false name which I think has an element of fraud, if you contact RCI your contract is null and void, except the part where you have paid for points, they should be closed down, I lost £99 which I was to get back but did not, you cannot get it back from your card company as it is under £100.I did sign up but lucky I had not taken my deeds or credit card, they can sing for it, my husband is 70 and I am 68, so we do not have a lot of money to spare., they have no conscience, I would advise you to go to trading standards and contact yout bank, Pearl good luck

  11. george says:

I too have been contacted by Sell my timeshare.tv They want me to go to Bournemouth with my wife and attend a meeting they will set up. They say they will cover the cost of the overnight stay at a four star hotel. However, having been bitten several times before with previous scams I am some what suspicious about their actual intentions once they have you at a meeting. Probably apply pressure to sell me a holiday club, or give a paltry amount for my timeshare. Think I might leave this one out !

    • Pat says:

You do well to leave well alone my husband and I attended a meeting in York on Wednesday and we have been burnt, just dont go there.

  12. simon says:
