Then, it is time to claim.

This is what the Spanish Supreme Court suggest after more than 100 final rulings.

The Spanish Supreme Court ruled that the main timeshare contracts that were considered illegal included:

  • Floating weeks or Points
  • Perpetual contracts (all timeshare contracts have to last between three and 50 years)
  • Payments and deposits signed within two weeks of signing (this is extended to a three month period if there are any other illegal points in the contract that need to be reviewed).

We purchased our timeshare on 4 March 1999 through Incentive Leisure Group. We have tried many times to relinquish our membership without success. I would be grateful if you could send me any information which may assist us. Thank you Maureen and Jeffrey

My name is Eric and I have two one bedroom apartments at Fairways in Tenerife They were fixed weeks when I purchased them in 1993 but were changed over to floating time about eight years ago. I would to know how I stand in this situation as I am now aged 80 and I do not wish continue with the ownership? Any advise would be appreciated. Regards Eric

All of my timeshare points were bought around these dates , This cost me approximately £18 000 They took deposits within the 14 Days and they were all for over 50 years in perpetuity . Im have tried on several occasions and all of them want payments up front . I have paid some £3500 of which I never recovered.
I am sceptical about any company that wants money up front and I will not enter any dealings with anyone who wants money up front . What I am prepared to do is pay anyone up to 25 % of any money that is recovered . .
