Direct Resorts International with website www.directresortsinternational.co.uk and telephone numbers 0800 198 0004 / 0800 198 5004 / 800 198 1771 and 0871 711 3545 is cold calling timeshare owners and offers them extra weeks as 5* resorts for a very competitive price.
So far so good, but the pitch isn’t actually that straight forward and the consumers are not told straight upfront what it is actually about.
Main concern is that Direct Resorts International does not present them as such but tell the customer they are calling from RCI or the customer’s home resort. This is actually the same pitch that was used by Resort Servie Care and we placed a warning on this blog not so long ago: http://wp.me/p1kmoi-3y
Customers pay hundreds of pounds for the bonus weeks as they are led to believe these are RCI Bonus weeks, and they only find out the real truth when the payment has been done and the paperwork arrives through the post.
The 5* resorts are not as 5* as promised either and from the large selection of resorts offered on the web and the phone, when trying to book it comes down to a limited selection of resorts and there is no Gold-crown or 5* available.
Direct Resorts International belongs to the Easy Consulting group where you can also find The Gift Company and Resort Servie Care.
Have you been called by DRI Direct Resorts International from these numbers 08001980004 / 08001985004 / 8001981771 and 08717113545 ? Please let us know!
This guy just called saying he was from RCI allocations based in St. Albans. He said we had been sent information through the post this last week. Offered me weeks from £149 up to 4 people or £199 up to 6 people sounds doggy.

Drect Resorts, contacted me this morning
Same old Rubbish about giving you free fights plus weeks that
you do not have.
I asked the rep who Direct Resorts were connected with he could not really answer and then
mentioned RCI, believe me It is a xxxx do not trust cold calls at all.
Phone Tattoc to ask about cold callers.
We too were contacted by a very persuasive Julie and paid s£199 supposedly for 3 weeks to be taken any time withing 3 years. Unfortunately I had a stroke and can no longer get travel insurance so requested a refund of monies paid. This was rejected and I was told that this is all quite legal and I could either give the weeks to a relative or attempt to sell the mon – as if you would. I wondered if they had any timeshare in GB as that might be possible. Awaiting a reply. Feel this is a sc** as if I had money to waste would give it to a charity of my choice not an intransigent uncaring company.

Can you actually get a holiday from Direct Resorts international once you have paid the initial amount and they say you have four weeks to use?
i have just been called from directresortspromotionns and they are able to book me in at xxxx tenerife where i want to be should i trust them with my payment.
I have had a call word perfect to the call made to Jayne above in October. This was from Trudi and had to check with manager named John. I am ment to ring back on 0800 198 0005 and they said they were based in Basildon. Very convincing and persuasive but will have a very long wait for my return call. I hate these cold call scammers!
I was called today by a Louisa of Direct Resorts International, claiming I had been allocated 2 Gold Crown weeks as I had been a timeshare owner for over 10 years.
I was told I could use these weeks any time, any where in the world in 4 star/5 star accomodation for up to 6 people and these weeks would be valid for up to 3 years, fully transferable.
She explained that I was due these weeks as my maintenance fees for my timeshare had been paid and were up to date. She said the price for these extra allocated weeks for £399 but she then spoke to someone on another line and said I could have it at the discounted price of £299.
She then said I could also have a 3 night/4 day stay in a hotel anywhere for a special price of £69 flights included.
She then mentioned how I would pay Visa or Mastercard, I replied that I would’nt be giving any bank details over the phone due to many scams going around, she said that paying by Visa/Mastercard was quite safe but said she understood my concerns. I then said I could’nt make a decision without first speaking to my husband so asked for a telephone number to call them back.
I had no intention of buying the extra weeks, but felt I had to make an excuse to get her off the phone as she was very persuasive. She said the telephone number was 0800 198 0005.
I found this website via google.

Having already been conned by Resort Servie Care I am wary of cold callers offering holidays.
I have just received a call from a company saying they are RSC I asked them what that stood for and they said Radisson Service Centre. They said I had 9 weeks in the system and offered me flights, very much like the offer from Resort Servie Care. I told them I would not be purchasing anything from a cold caller and asked for their number which is 0845 2652468.
I don’t know whether they are genuine but I’m certainly not taking any chances!
As of 7 January 2012 Direct Resorts International are still at it. In my case the caller claimed to be
from a ‘Reallocation Department’ that company. As you say the offer is vague and is claimed to be
based on an allocation that you did not know you had.
How come these people can continue to get away with it? Why isn’t there a registration process for
‘dot com’ companies so that the organisers of these operations can be brought to book?
