Excalibur Sales & Marketing, have you seen their “new” website?

The question of course should be, have you been cold called as well by Excalibur Sales and Marketing. But as we have noticed recently, yet again this company has changed their website address!

That is 3 different websites on the go for one and the same company!

http://excalibursalesandmarketing.com doesn’t offer anything new under the sun though, and one wonders why they change the address if the design and layout is not changed (read improved!) at all.

We have the “original website www.excalibur-marketing.net  which was mentioned in our first blog alert http://wp.me/p1kmoi-3b and then they slightly changed their name as well so they created a website according to that www.excalibursite.com (http://wp.me/p1kmoi-q3).

What hasn’t changed over all this time in which Excalibur has been active is the cold call, the supposed buyer that is lined up to get your membership and the security fee which has to be paid upfront!

Looking at the new website from Excalibur and at the memberships they have up for sale, it does look odd they have numerous memberships of Club Class, DWVC, Continental Connections and even Connections6. Why so many? Were there not people waiting to buy this off them? Was that not the reason why they cold you?

Just wanted to say thank you to mindshare for all the advice given. Thanks to the help given, my father has successfully manage to recoup his money from his credit card company. Please persevere, his claim was initially refused by the credit card company, but on seeking advice from Alberto Garcia we tried again and have been successful, it’s definately worth the effort.

It took me a lot of effort, psychological pressure on myself and headache to get my money back, which I had – silly enough – given my credit card details for (this taught me a lesson and I will never do it again in my life!!). Although they had promised not to use these details, the amount of € 1400 was debited the next day. According to Mindshare’s advice, I reported the case to the local police and I sent a very strict letter to their Managing Director (whose name I got from Mindshare), and also informed the Chamber of Commerce in Malaga. They finally called me to inform me that they have instructed their bank to repay the money (with the comment that they only want happy customers). I insisted on getting this information in writing, which I did – surprisingly enough. It took some weeks to find it on my account. But anywhay…..This is just to advise you that it helps to be very persistent and strict and to pull all strings to finally receive your money back. Good luck to those who are in the same position as I have been the last few months! Never give up!

Gesprek: € 6500,00 is geboden.

– Dank an Euch alle!

    Hallo,

      Lothar

16/04/2013 Rachel Thorpe of Excalibur phoned .Wants to to give lots of moey for Holiday Clubs that I have collected. The clubs want to buy my memberships because I’m not using them so they are not making any money.Wants 1590 Euros to be refunded on completion.

I have just had a call from Excalibur, we made the mistake a year ago of thinking we could sell our membership through them. We got our money back and cancelled the sale in February 2012. Today had a phone call from their completions department, saying they had sold our week, I said you can’t of because we didn’t sell through yourselves, as you tried to rip us off – the bloke on the other end replied “sorry, I didnt hear that” and then hung up. So they are still at upsetting people and ripping them off even when they are no longer instructed by ourselves! Jo

  8. Maralyn says:

Just been cold called by Excalibur. The number was not available so I have no idea where they were calling from but she gave me her name Sally Hanson and the telephone number 08712311241. She asked if I had used my membership lately, I said no, she said they were able to sell memberships and my membership would be put in a presentations. I was not commital and she said she would contact me again when they had a buyer lol. She asked me for my membership and when I said I didnt know it she told me it??? I asked where she had my details from which she replied they were working for Club Class. I no doubt will be receiving the call shortly as the above folks have saying they have a buyer and want some cash from me. Well I have been reading mindshare for months and know that they are a scam so wont be giving them anything.

  9. Ronald says:

Also got a call. Yesterday I was given the same story as Robert, (above). Today I was told that they already had a buyer for £11,000. (That’s 1000% profit!). Further call said the signed contract was ready to be posted but it couldn’t be sent without a €1345 refundable(!) retainer made by credit card. Lady was trying very hard to be friendly but I sensed a colder attitude when I asked for full company details so that I could check them out. Obviously I haven’t paid.

  10. Robert says:

Have just been cold called by Excalibur (no telephone number – out of area) regarding whether I want to sell my Club Class membership (they quoted between £9-12 thousand pounds!!). Excalibur were working on behalf of Club Class!!! I asked what this would cost me and the guy (Manchester accent) said that all fees were paid by the buyer and I would not be charged any fee. He said he would put my details in a “presentation”???? and then call me back if there was any interest.

I again asked what this would cost me and he confirmed all fees were paid by the buyer. He then tried to engage me in familiar chat and asked my forename as this would put us on a less formal footing. I replied that of he had my details from CC then he would know this. He went on to say that the Data Protection Act prohibited CC giving out any other details than surname, telephone number and CC membership details. I told him that his company should not have my details according to the Data Protection Act – he replied that as the company were working for CC this was permissible. I declined to give my forename and although I could hear in his voice there was some annoyance, he accepted this as my right to privacy.

I am now waiting for my return call with some amazing offer and a big fat cheque with no fees required…………..cynic that I am!!!!

    • Robert says:

Have received my second call from Excalibur (17:25)
Miraculously, there are TWO buyers (golfers?!?!?) who are interested in purchasing my CC membership for £10 thousand. The guy (new one)said that their policy was to “credit check” these people (and this would take around 20 minutes) before giving me any further details and he would call me back.

Waiting with baited breath!!!! – now 18:45

    Friday 14th September.
Just called by a woman, Judy Lawler who told me she was employed by Excalliber in their
Corprate Division – at Gatwick. I asked her for her phone no: and after lots of protests, she gave me 0034 952 577721. When I asked her why this is a Spanish Phone No. she got quite nasty.
Excallibur originally promised that they could sell our Timeshare Points.
She talked about needing to have our names removed from the title deeds of our Timeshare
property, – and I was able to tell her that Diamond Resorts are happy to remove owners names
free of charge. Judy Lawler got very angry and slammed the phone down.
NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL I THOUGHT !!!

  12. Hamish says:

Just called by Excalibur. No caller ID on the ‘phone and they hung up when I started to ask questions about identities and where they got my details. Sounded quite rude too!
