Atlantis Travel SA is the latest cold caller added to our list of dubious cold callers.

Not only are they cold calling, with obviously the timeshare owners personal details and membership details. They also guarantee a resale and ask for an upfront fee.

The agent from Atlantis Travel SA claims to be calling from Barcelona.

After the first call, Atlantis Travel SA forwards all kinds of documents to the timeshare owner by email.

One of the documents being the “official” purchase agreement in the name of a foreign buyer and the proof this buyer has already paid a substantial amount into the account of the so called Official Fiduciary Notarios y Depositos.

So the buyer supposedly has paid over 50.000 euros into the account of this fiduciary and now it is up to the timeshare owner to complete the sale.

In order to secure this sale, Atlantis Travel SA expects the timeshare owner to pay as well around 3500 euros into the account of Notarios y Depositos.

Research has shown that there is no such company in the name of Atlantis Travel SA in neither Barcelona nor any other part of Spain.

Unfortunately those consumers, who did pay this fee into this account, never heard back from Atlantis travel SA and their timeshare were certainly not sold.

We cannot stress enough that there should never be any payment request for a timeshare resale, not a deposit, no notary charges, taxes or whatever they come up with.
