Beware of cold calling lawyers called Abogados Madrid Legal Union (FAKE)

A very strange company by the name of Abogados Madrid Legal Union (fake) has started cold calling timeshare consumers.

This company explains to the Consumer that they are working on the Recovery of money paid to Holiday/timeshare companies.

The Consumer is offered to join this claim, as the Recovery of the money is 100% guaranteed.

Best of all, it won’t cost the Consumer a penny as the court will deduct the court fees and all legal fees of the consumer are paid by the Court.

Nothing to lose!

All the consumer needs to do is fill in a claims form and indicate a bank account where they would like to receive the recuperated money.

The form can be send back to the Abogados Madrid Legal Union by email or fax, not by post as they are receiving too much post and this won’t be picked up. (How strange is that?)

One of the cold-calling agents from Abogados Madrid Legal Union is called Eleonor Markham and she is calling from a mobile number 0034693671006

The claims form send by email comes from the address: abogadosmadridlu@email.com

The Telephone number mentioned on the email for this company is:

Tel: 0034 910 09 1396 and Fax: 0034 910 09 1397

Research has shown that there is a company in Madrid with a similar name and similar address but certainly NOT with the same contact details!

Supposed Legal companies using email addresses such as @email.com, @legislator.com or @gmail.com are certainly not to be trusted

My Mum received a letter from this company in relation to a holiday club she had purchased about 10 years ago (sadly she died 7 years ago). I contacted them and they informed me that a joint action had been taken about this company and that I could receive a refund. I was sent court paperwork stating the judge had awarded me 11,100 euros. They wanted me to send 1,332 euros via travelex for court charges and that I would then receive the money. I had got as far as sending them the money then I saw your blog. I have been able to get Travelex to stop this payment in the meantime but I know Eleanor will be phoning me tomorrow …. all the paperwork looks official but after reading your article I grew concerned.
