A new name to our long list, Avon Client Services or ACS as they call themselves in their paperwork, has started cold calling and also mailing consumer’s letters by post.
Avon Client Services in their introduction letter states they are a company handling Timeshare resale’s and claims, and “from the records past to them…” they know the consumer has paid dubious companies in the past.
Wow, which records that have been passed? As if this has nothing to do with Data Protection at all!
ACS Limited then goes on that they have actually sold the timeshare of the consumer (without his knowledge!) on a preliminary basis and a large amount of money is waiting to be transferred to his account.
That sounds like an amazing deal. Maybe an incredible one, and probably it is advisable not to believe it!
Avon Client Services provides two addresses:
- Trinity Place, Midland Drive, Coldfield B72 1TX.
- Station on House, Midland Drive, Sutton Coldfield, B72 1TU.
These are though not the same address as given at the UK Companies House for a company by the same name:
Avon Client Services Ltd
Reg number 08147483. Date: July 18th 2012.
Address: 1 Shenstone Avenue; Stoubridge DY8 3EX.
Director: Todd Mann
Their phone numbers are 12112702868 and 0751 204 8859 and the emails of the person handling the completion of the deal are todd.tms@consultant.com and j.cunningham@europe.com although the person signing the letter is called James Ashworth.
When questioning where they obtained consumers details he was bluntly told that in his case they got these from Half Moon Holdings! That is not really a good sign I would say. Not only the fact the Data Protection Law was not honored at all in this case, but also the fact they know about the dubious resale offer and payment from Half Moon Holdings.
With the above information we feel that it is recommendable for consumers to be very cautious when speaking to Avon Client Services and certainly not pay them any money upfront for a resale, a claim, taxes or postage of documents.
Have you been called from 1212702868 or 07512048859, Avon Client Services, or maybe you also received a resale offer by post?
Please do let us know. You can email us at customercare@mindtimeshare.com or place a comment on the blog.
Just had a call from someone saying that they were calling on behalf of ACS about a road traffic accident I had recently (I have not had or been involved in any accidents) and when I asked what ACS was the person who rang got very annoyed, told me to f**k off and hung up.
7.1.2013. My mum has just been hassled by this Company. They said my mum was to be paid £20,000 for her timeshare & advertising fees. Sounds too good to be true…well, if my mum would give them £1000, to release the money, she would then be paid. This offer is only on until 4pm today. Because my name is on the paperwork, I have to call a Mr Bailey-Solicitor on 0121 2702868 to sort out. I am told that If I dont send £1000 then I will be taken to court for some ‘legal’ issue about a contract….fat chance sonny!!… Avon Client Services are just another scam Company.
DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
thank you for this information if only mum had told us about this when she got the letter we could have stopped her sending them money she also got a call from an Alison Wilde 02033977040 i dont know if she is connected to ACS
