The Swedish ECC Office, “Konsument Europa” has published lately a report about the complaints received so far in the year 2015.
They have done a summary of the issues about which they received most complaints, which are, Flights, Car Rental, Sample pack articles (pharmaceutical products), Restaurants and hotels, Goods, Timeshare and Holiday Clubs and dating sites.
As per the report, the ECC received 102 cases with complaints about Timeshare and holiday clubs, but they highlight that Orbit Travel / Orbit Management dominates the complaints on this subject.
It is sad to see that Orbit Travel or Orbit Management is yet again highlighted as the holiday club that sets off most complaints.
Mindtimeshare has placed warnings about them for them past year and a summary of all articles posted with this subject can be found on the following link: https://mindtimeshare.me/?s=orbit
It has to be questioned once more, how many more complaints do the authorities need to start taking action and looking seriously into this matter?
Is it worth having a company such as Orbit Travel active in Gran Canaria, looking at the complaints and the bad image this company is leaving with all visitors?
Do the authorities really think people will return to the island after feeling cheated and misled by this company? Do the authorities think the consumers will recommend their family and friends to go and visit the island?
What more do they need?

Interesting, I know it has put us off slightly after being co**** by Orbit! It shouldn’t do but if the Gran Canarian authorities don’t do anything about these people this is whats going to happen unfortunately.
Luckily the complaint against them has been settled in our favour so we are happy (but it was a faff to get to this point!). The thing to do I suppose is go to Gran Canaria, it is beautiful, just give these people in the street a wide berth! Do not get ‘sucked in’ by the offer of a ‘big prize;. Our fist thoughts were ‘you don’t get something for nothing’ and as long as you keep this in mind you can still enjoy a holiday on this beautiful island 😉
Thanks Karen,
Glad you still want to visit the lovely island of Gran Canaria!
